This is my travel blog that I will keep while studying abroad in London.

Goodbye Teenage Years

May 1st came way too quickly. I always look forward to my birthday but this year I was dreading it because I knew my time at St. Mary’s would be ending right after my birthday. Something really special happened where it was my birthday in London and still my mom’s birthday back home so we were sharing the same day! It was really special to have that. I was sad to not be home spending my birthday with my parents. I knew they really missed me. Marcos planned a special day for me and we got up early and were off to London for a great day. He surprised me with each place we went. First we saw the changing of the guards and Marble Arch. Then we walked around Hyde Park and fed the ducks and squirrels. Yes the squirrels actually come up to you and eat a nut out of your hand. Its so crazy yet so cute. We went to Portobello Market and then we stopped to have lunch and ice cream of course! Then we went to Covent Garden and then to Tower Bridge. He took me out to dinner and then went back to college. My friends had planned a surprise party for me when I got back and they had a s’mores cake and balloons and everything. It was a really special birthday and I know it is one I will never forget. Marcos decided to take me on Birthday #2 day in London the next week :) He really spoiled me!
